We started out shooting back in the early 80s with 35mm film cameras. About four years ago I purchased our first Digital SLR and retired my Minolta x700. I didnt know at the time that it would inspire me to revisit a career that I had started years ago and left behind to become a full time Teachers Assistant and Dance Mom....But that purchase opened up a whole new world of photography for us - that and Empty Nest Syndrome! lol But with digital came the freedom of endless shooting and gave us the ability to experiment and push further as photographers. I then decided to take my love of Photography further and start up "Photography By Janice" which is now "Abbott Photography".   On the personal note we have been married for 28 years and we have a beautiful 23 year old Daughter, Amanda. Amanda is a Dancer/Model and is currently a dancer for the Nashville Predators Hockey Team for the 2008-2009 Season. Spending the last 13 years with her at Dance Competitions, Auditions, Workshops, Recitals, Photo and Video Shoots all over the South was so much fun...but what we didnt realize until much later on that those years spent analyzing Body Lines and Movement didn't just make Amanda a better dancer it really influenced our Photography and I think has made us much better Photographers.   We are full of energy, upbeat and love having fun and laughing during our shoots! We love clients who come up with creative ideas-so if you have an idea-bring it to us and we will make it happen-we LOVE the creative process of a photoshoot and especially love collaborating with our clients to get the look that they want. We shoot every style of photography from traditional to edgy-babies to boudoir!  We truly have a passion and love for all areas of photography.
